With each new year, comes fresh dreams for KNJD, cutting-edge design inspiration, new friends, and beautiful couples who want to celebrate their love story with us! As we welcome 2016 with fervent expectation, we can’t help but look back on our 2015 weddings, smile, and let out a sigh of pure satisfaction. So, grab a cup of coffee (or champagne), cue favorite love song, sit back and enjoy some of our favorite moments from 2015. Cheers!
Matti was a close friend I met through a church small group. We connected instantly, both being the new kids and both being loud and outspoken. Matti is an incredible person who bursts with a love for life and married the nicest guy...who also happens to be the long snapper for the Seahawks. It was a pleasure being a part of their Sodo Park wedding this past March.
Grace and Jason were fantastic clients, as they pretty much handed over control of everything after our initial meeting. Jason met Grace while working overseas in China and the rest was history. Their JM Cellars wedding was set for 38 guests and proved to be a beautifully intimate affair for their closets friends and family.
Amanda and Ryan came to Woodinville wine country on a long weekend and were immediately drawn in by the beautiful setting of DeLille Cellars. Working with them from Northern California proved to be a great experience, amidst the back and forth of venue walk through, design meetings and tastings. Their rustic, farm to table concept created an incredible style as their guests dined on local fares, wine and beautiful coffee from the groom's company back home.
Kristen & CJ were the type of people that skipped from friends to family without a moment notice. We bonded over our mutual Italian heritage and decided to embrace that as our theme for the whole weekend. From exposed wooden tables, to garlands full of eucalyptus, rosemary and olive branches, Kristen's vision aligned with mine perfectly and couldn't have been more of a pleasure to be a part of.
I met Chelsea at her sister's Roche Harbor wedding back in 2013. We bonded instantly once I found out she too worked in the event industry, down in LA. We exchanged stories, ideas and a few laughs before I had to get back to work. When she contacted me about her own wedding, it was an honor because she chose to work with me, amidst her myriad of connections back in LA. Her and Ben remain good friends and allowed me to design in one of the most beautiful settings- a Santa Barbara vineyard.
Danielle was one of those brides, where every meeting was hysterical, incredibly productive and included a bottle of great wine. Her enthusiasm and love for every detail included in the process made my job so enjoyable. Soon after Ryan and Danielle's first date, they embarked on a cross country road trip and fell in love. Their love for adventure continued through their wedding and guests ventured to the Sleeping Lady Resort and hiked to a beautiful bluff overlooking the Wenatchee River to be serenaded by a 3 piece folk band as they said their vows. And their 4 legged friend, Dakota was the perfect ring dog you could ask for.
