I love the local Seattle photography community. Over the past few years, I have met so many warm, friendly and incredibly talented people who I have come to appreciate so much. A photographer in this industry is really my biggest advocate for expanding my business and sharing my portfolio, because if they don't get the right shot, I don't have the ability to share with everyone what I've created. So when Kristen from Kristen Marie Parker contacted me about working together, I knew I couldn't pass this up. Her work evokes so much emotion and beautifully captures each moment with such intentionality. Plus, she's just really fun to work with.
We decided to collaborate on something outdoor and relatively simple. I wanted lots of natural light and beautiful surroundings. Naturally, I thought where better than to shoot it in a lavender field?! Since lavender represents refreshment, we wanted everything that we incorporated in the shoot to express the same vibe. Our model wore stunning gown separates by Watters, that were flowy and airy, with beautiful beaded detailing to the blush corset top and delicate lace detailing on the long sleeved top. I wanted the florals to feel very organic and loose, and focus on local peonies, sweet peas in ivory, green and the lightest hint of blush. We accented the table with shades of mint green and gray and incorporated natural elements that felt French-inspired with the wooden chargers, and picnic-style board of fresh fruits and cheeses. Big thanks to Woodinville Lavender Farm for hosting us. Check out their beautiful space and be sure to try some of their homemade lavender ice cream!
And Chelsea Matley did an amazing job on hair and makeup with our beautiful model Amrine. That incredible head piece was actually a necklace- she works wonders!
