One of the first things that inevitably happens when meeting with a new bride, is they unleash their impressively exhaustive Pinterest board of every possible idea, color palette and dress option for their big day. Often, I'm confronted with the reality that there seems to be 10 weddings being planned across these boards. The photos consist of seaside yacht weddings, paired with giant cathedral weddings and ballrooms dripping with crystals, along side barns full of hay bales. My first job tends to be narrowing down the vision to create a cohesive and beautiful look come their wedding day. Alyssa was not this bride. She had her Pinterest board narrowed down to the very last details of how the flowers on the cake should look and what each chalkboard sign would say. Ultimately, her vision for their wedding could be described in her words as simply as this: a fairytale. It was so fun to create in a space like Craven Farms because there is a lot of natural beauty. We brought in long eucalyptus garlands, shades of blush and yellow garden roses and an assortment of colors of peonies and hydrangeas. The shades of blush, yellow and coral were paired with a dusty blue linen. It really made the colors pop and become vibrant. Alyssa and Miguel's wedding truly did appear as out of a storybook.
