jenny & matt

We’ve all had those days, where things just don’t always play to your advantages. Often, when in regards to a wedding, the weather is the biggest factor that determines whether installs, locations and designs happen according to plan. Jenny & Matt’s wedding was incredible- it was a warm sunny April day at a beautiful ranch amidst the rolling hills of San Luis Obispo. But the wind decided it would make an appearance, just as we finished installing the ceremony arch! No matter what we tried, 8 anchor points into the ground, multiple weights on each end, even piles of rocks…it wouldn’t stay up and the risk of potential crash mid-ceremony was too great! So what was planned to be a tall, standing arch, became a grounded half-circle arch. The plan certainly didn’t call for this set up, luckily we came prepared with the necessary equipment to make the necessary adjustment. It was the combination of the client’s understanding and our team’s flexibility than made what could have been a big challenge and a big risk, become something that felt beautifully intentional, with no one knowing the difference as they arrived to a beautifully set up ceremony!
